GI Consultants is looking for a full time RN to work at our Reno Endoscopy Center. Qualified candidates should have at least one (1) year of acute care experience.
We prefer ICU/ER/PACU/TELE or previous endoscopy nursing experience. Excellent computer skills are required as our Center utilizes an EMR.
Our nurses work in a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical Center. They are trained to work all areas of the Center from pre-op, procedure room (administration of moderate sedation), and post-op utilizing critical nursing assessment skills.

Center Hours are Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays!
- Current NV RN License
- Min. 1 year of Previous Acute Care experience
- Previous procedural sedation, Endoscopy nursing, telemetry, or critical nursing experience preferred
- Excellent Computer skills
- Provide Excellent Patient Care
- Current BLS (Required) and ACLS (may obtain certification after employment).
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Your role is to provide patients, co-workers, providers, and associates the best professional support and service within your nursing scope of practice and in accordance with GIC's core Customer Service requirements and training
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains confidentiality and privacy of all patients per HIPPA and Center policies.
2. Employee is required to be familiar with, follow, and abide by the GI Consultants Employee Code of Conduct, Core Customer Service requirements, and all departmental policies and procedures.
3. Functions within the legal limits of nursing scope of practice.
4. Treats patients with respect and dignity.
5. Acts as a patient advocate.
6. Reduces chances of nosocomial infection by directing attention to infection control and environmental practices.
7. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as indicated by your patient care area.
8. Provides safe environment for patients and staff members. Reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to a Supervisor, Safety Officer, or Safety Committee Member.
9. Knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies and is familiar with their location and troubleshoots as necessary.
10. Reports and documents patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
11. Reports errors of commission / omission.
12. Able to work cooperatively and professionally with Physicians and other staff members.
13. Accepts direction from Supervisor and/or Physician and adheres to established routines.
14. Identifies patients by two (2) patient identifiers at each point of care and as established by policy.
15. Demonstrates awareness of patient's psychological needs and provides comfort, empathy, and reassurance as needed.
