Job Highlights:
Must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of thirty (30) hours of supervised face-to-face emergency services contact experience as a psychiatric emergency service worker in Rhode Island.
This candidate also must have one of the following minimum qualifications:
- A minimum 2 years full time experience providing relevant behavioral health services
- OR an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse
This position requires the employee to provide clinical guidance with on call responsibilities.
This Opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse position is to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to provide services. The Registered Nurse will also be responsible for supervision and implementation of treatment and supportive care according to program design and best practices.
What You'll Do:
- Develop basic education information for the people we support and family, focusing on self-care appropriate to their age and identified learning considerations and needs.
- Monitor individuals who are receiving services to ensure health and safety.
- Participate in training, orientation, competency assessment and education of new and established employees.
- Serve as a resource person to other staff in the area, or region, as needed.
- Act in a professional manner, reflecting the mission of the agency, and demonstrate compliance with all policies, procedures and federal/state regulations and service definitions.
- Demonstrate ongoing service excellence skills. Participate in performance improvement activities as requested.
- Assist in providing feedback and mentoring, contributing to staff professional development.
- Assist practice administrator in maintaining inventory of medications, equipment and supplies.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings, including monthly staff meetings of all locations under supervision and training as required. Provide updates to clinical staff at least monthly.
- Maintain current licensure and certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas
- Maintain trainings as required and requested
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
- Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
- Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
- Driving and travel may be required

Associates of Science (A.S): Nursing (Required)

Drivers License (Valid) - USA, RN - State Board of Nursing

Experience working in Behavioral Health
