This position will travel to Emporia, Sussex and /or Surry Clinics at least twice a week if needed.
Required: 1 year of Psychiatric Nursing experience OR at least 2 years .
Must have a current State of Virginia license to practice as a Registered Nurse. RNC Preferred. Required to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Must possess a valid VA Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Must be able to provide phlebotomy services, administration of intramuscular medication, supportive counseling, have knowledge of psychotropic medication uses, side effects, and potential interactions. Knowledge of community-based services required as well as some out of office work.
Must have strong communication and documentation skills.
Travel to satellite clinics required, with agency vehicle provided or mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle.
Must have the ability to tolerate light lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs.
Preferred:
Candidate has the skills and competence to establish supportive, trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential. Work is performed under the general direction of the Medical Services Manager.
Experience in electronic health records systems
A bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate is preferred.
Salary:
This is a Grade 212, starting salary is $65,000.00.
Salaries are negotiable.

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.
No weekends! No on-call, no evening hours! 35hr work weeks! 12 paid holidays + birthday month paid day off!
