SalaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized care to one patient in their home. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our patient. Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and document daily activities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Administer medications and feedings through a G-tube
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide education to patient and the family on managing their condition
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in Illinois
- Experience in Private Duty nursing or a similar role
- Experience in tracheotomy care, G-tube feeding, wound care, and medication administration through G-tube
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques and medical documentation
- Experience with bed-ridden patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision
