Regularly you will . . .
- Provide comfort and reassurance to the patient and support the patient’s right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice
- Assist in inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels
- Perform thorough pre‐operative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting
- Perform safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate post‐operative/post‐anesthesia period
- Perform thorough post‐operative patient assessment prior to discharge of the patient
- Perform discharge education to patient and care giver
- Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered
The right candidate for this position will have:
- Current Illinois Nursing License
- Minimum 2 years’ pre- and post-operative experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Commitment to patient care
- Excellent skills and clinical ability
- Ambulatory care experience, preferred
