Tri-Cities Community Health (TCCH) is looking for a Registered Nurse who has a passion for helping others. As a community health center, located in southeastern Washington, serving Pasco, Kennewick, Richland and the surrounding communities.

Who are we?

Our community health center began as a modest sized medical clinic in Pasco, Washington in 1981. The clinic was founded by a small group of women in the Pasco community who saw the need to serve low income community members who could not afford to pay for Healthcare.

Tri-Cities Community Health has grown into a comprehensive non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) where we have evolved into a network of community health centers that continue with the foundation TCCH was built on and serve an even more diverse population in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.

Our Opportunity:

The Registered Nurse works closely with providers and medical assistants within our multidisciplinary community health center to provide high quality and compassionate patient care. The person in this position must be consistent and competent in the standards of Registered Nurse practice following the rules, policies, and procedures developed by Tri- Cities Community Health within the scope of practice following guidelines of the State of Washington..

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, discusses and communicates the patient plan or plan of care in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintains accurate and complete documentation of care services provided to patients
  • Practices within legal boundaries of nurse practice act and according to TCCH policies and procedures
  • Serves as clinical resource to all staff members
  • Complete nursing assignment and documents accurately in the EMR system and report abnormal findings to the Provider
  • Uses EMR system to accurately and completely document nursing functions
  • Demonstrates the skills and judgement necessary to provide non-direct patient care/support services to staff
  • Maintains inventory and ordering of clinical supplies at a reasonable level, ensures medications are in current status, and keeps clinical area neat and clean
  • Functions as a role model for current and new staff
  • Acts as liaison to other departments
  • Effectively responds to codes
  • Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure requirements including safety and specific job related hazards
  • Follows the organizations exposure control plans/BBP and Airborne Pathogens
  • Ability to carry out all other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. BSN preferred.

Experience:

  • One year of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting or community health center preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Current RN license required. Must have/obtain CPR certification within 3 months of hire. ACLS Certification may be required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Fully functional in use of Microsoft Office products. Fully functional in use of Electronic Medical Records. Knowledge of current regulations, guidelines and the scope of practice of Registered Nurses in the state of Washington. Skilled in the use of standard medical equipment and instruments.
