The Opportunity:
As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients throughout their surgical journey. Your responsibilities will include providing expert nursing care, assisting surgeons during procedures, and maintaining a sterile and organized operating room environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assessing patients' medical history, current health status, and vital signs.
• Educating patients and their families about the surgical procedure, including potential risks and post-operative care instructions.
• Ensuring that patients are adequately prepared for surgery, including administering pre-operative medications as prescribed.
• Assisting the surgical team by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding promptly to any changes or complications that may arise during surgery.

Requirements:

Educational:

• Completion of a nursing education program leading to an associate degree in nursing (ADN) or a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.

License:

• Licensed Registered Nurse actively registered in the state of Michigan.

Certifications:

• Certified in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association(required).
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association (preferred).
