SalaryHealth East ASC is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites
- Provide education to patients and their families about pre and post-operative care
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and ensure their comfort during surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment in the Operating Room
- Assist surgeons during surgery by passing instruments, sutures, and other equipment
- Monitor patients after surgery and ensure they are stable before discharge
- Accurately document patient information and care provided
Requirements:
- Current nursing license in the state of New Jersey
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
