Registered Nurse - Occupational Health

Department: Alexandria Clinic Nursing
Employment Status: Part time / 20 hours per week / 40 hours per pay period
Hours: 2.5 days per week / clinic day hours
Weekends/Rotations: No weekends required.
Job Description
The Occupational Health Coordinator (OHC) is responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of the Occupational Health Department in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives. This position is responsible for coordinating all service lines, contracts, and partnerships with businesses while providing nursing care.
Essential Responsibilities
The following description of responsibilities to be performed is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.
Occupational Health Service Delivery

• Assist area business with coordinating and obtaining cost effective health care services through Alexandria Clinic
• Coordinate and/or participate in the development and implementation of Occupational Health Services policies and procedures in accordance with ordinances and laws
• Collaborate with outside resources for program development and seeking opportunities for new business
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with businesses and community resources
• Deliver health and safety programs and services
• Coordinate and assist in the education and training for contracted services
• Complete business site visits
• Provide appropriate health care services at business locations
• Maintain accurate reports, contracts, services lines, etc.
• Collaborate with Department Leads for supply and financial reporting

Nursing Services Delivery

• Complete thorough documentation
• Perform all tasks per Provider order and within scope of practice
• Prepare and administer injections, immunizations, etc.
• Collect and handle all specimens appropriately
• Facilitate communication in regards to patient/business employee care between appropriate sources, including Provider

Other Responsibilities

• Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner
• Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment
• Support, understand, and promote Alomere Health's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures
• Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department
• Foster respectful working relationships with professional colleagues, patients, families, and general public regardless of age, gender, lifestyle, culture, beliefs, race, socioeconomic class, or ability

Required Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a satisfactory driving record. Driving record will be verified annually

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of Registered Nursing experience
• Occupational Health experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Epic knowledge
• Proficient at MS Office (emphasis in Excel)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to present and teach to small and large groups alike
