Job Summary and Qualifications
Under general supervision the Staff RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical Center of Lewisville. In collaboration with patient, patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing the nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN provides direct care and/or supervises nursing care of LVN’s and non-licensed nursing staff. The RN is responsible for providing care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies, procedures and standards of practice.
What qualifications you will need:
- TX RN license or RN Compact State License
- ADN required, BSN preferred (BSN must be obtained within 48 months of hire)
- BLS certification from approved HCA vendor
- NRP must be obtained within 3 months of hire
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire. No renewal required
- Cardiac STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of hire. No renewal required
- Minimum of 1 year Level III NICU experience required or completion of the NICU internship program
