Position:Registered Nurse New Grad – Medical Surgical UNIT only

This dynamic opportunity offers a unique blend of classroom learning, hands-on experience, and professional development, setting you up for success in the medical-surgical field.

Program Overview: The StaRN Residency is an intensive yearlong program designed to provide New Graduate nurses with the practical skills and confidence needed to excel in acute care settings. This comprehensive experience begins with a 10-16 week (depending on specialty) paid Classroom/Preceptorship program. Throughout the year, you'll rotate through diverse units based on the hospital's needs and your preferences. Units that commonly hire StaRN residents include:

Program Breakdown: Part 1: StaRN Training – First 5-8 Weeks (depending on specialty):

• Instructor-led classroom training
• State-of-the-art simulation with comprehensive debriefs
• Certifications tailored to each unit
• Training on charting systems
• Monday-Friday schedule with 40-hour work weeks (8-hour days)

Part 2: StaRN Clinical Preceptorship – Next 7-8 Weeks (depending on specialty):

• Hospital-based clinical training
• One-on-one preceptor to guide your learning and role adaptation
• Regular development meetings with your preceptor and Director
• Customized Coaching/Onboarding report
• Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week at the hospital

Part 3: Client Residency Program – Remainder of your 1st year:

• Transition to full-time role at the hospital after StaRN completion
• Continue professional development with mentorship
• Complete an evidence-based capstone project

Requirements:

• Current Florida RN license or Multi-state Compact RN license
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school within the past year
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills
• Commitment to attend the StaRN Training program
