We are seeking to hire an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to provide therapeutic patient and family-centered care for children, adolescents, and adults.
The children and adolescents who come to Dakota Family Services have complex mental and behavioral health issues, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, autism, bipolar disorder, and trauma. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., one weekend of on-call per month.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
- Work collaboratively as an active member of the multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic patient and family-centered care.
- Provide evidence-based services to help patients meet their treatment goals, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Provide integrated services by communicating and documenting services, care, and treatment.
- Complete physical and mental health assessments.
- Administer, monitor, and document prescribed psychotropic medications and make adjustments under the supervision of qualified medical staff.
- Take phone calls from patients regarding refills and side effects, address the urgency of their requests, and take appropriate action to meet the patient's needs.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with patient's primary care providers and specialty physicians to enhance their experience and overall health.
- Monitor the completion and quality of assessment, referrals, coordination of services, and action plans for patients.
- Assist with outcome assessment activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant must:
- Hold a current and valid North Dakota Registered Nurse license.
- Have one year of experience in a mental or behavioral healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be organized and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Be reliable, patient, and professional.
