Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse, Med-Surg Ortho
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Med-Surg Ortho department. The successful candidate will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and rehabilitation exercises
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times
- Document patient care and progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in orthopedic nursing preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Compassionate and patient-centered care approach
