Responsibilities:
- Administers nursing care within the scope of hospital policy and established standards of care and in accordance with the needs and/or wants of each patient.
- Develops and initiates the nursing care plan utilizing the nursing process.
- Collaborates/cooperates with nursing staff and other hospital/health care disciplines for promotion of health to obtain the optimal level of wellness for patients, family, and community.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting.
- Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Quickly and accurately respond to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS
- Preferred ACLS Certifications
- Telemetry experience a plus
