The Registered Nurse will possess knowledge and skills to provide care to patients in an ambulatory setting. Will provide clinical nursing assessments; act as patient care advocate; and provide support, counseling and education to patients. Will be responsible for patient case management and/or performing specialized procedures. Provides clinical nursing assessment, support, counseling and direct patient care in an ambulatory setting. Works in collaboration with other health care providers and ancillary services. Directs clinical staff and maintains mandatory regulatory institutional policies and procedures under the direction of the manager/Medical Director. May be required to float to other ACU clinics, as needed, for staffing.
The lead Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for nursing staff coordination within the practice. The lead Licensed Practical Nurse will participate in the care of patients in a physician office setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exams/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory and stocking exam rooms. Will also provide patient care by administering medications, processing patient phone calls per practice protocols, instructing patients regarding health care and treatments and providing health care provider with information pertaining to patients' health statuses. Responsible for coordinating the workload of the nursing staff. May be required to float to other UFHP practices, as needed, for staffing.
Must meet requirements as an RN or LPN:
RN
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- One year of specialty experience or two years of ambulatory care or hospital-based experience as an RN required.
- Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
- Person should display initiative, have the ability to multitask and be able to take on responsibilities.
- Proven ability to problem solve and be a team member are essential skills.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current licensure by the State Florida as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support certification required or obtained at first opportunity with employment.
LPN
- Graduate of an accredited school or training program for Licensed Practical nursing.
- One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
- Person should display initiative and have the ability to multitask.
- Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus and problem-solving skills are required for the ideal candidate.
- Previous staff coordination preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR).
- Must successfully complete medication test within 30 days of hire.
Salary:
- RN pay grade SHN 13: Minimum $25.48/hour - Midpoint $35.54/hour.
- LPN pay grade SHN 11: Minimum $21.70/hour - Midpoint $27.82/hour.
