Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology department
- Assist with procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and stent placements
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications and IV fluids as needed
- Perform IV insertions and catheterizations
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-procedure care
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment for procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license and current CPR certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in ICU, ER, or Interventional Radiology
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Ability to lift and move patients as necessary
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Note: Experience or knowledge in hospice palliative medicine is a plus.
