RN coordinates and administers nursing care for cardiac and peripheral angiography (both diagnositc and interventional), electrophysiology studies, cardioversions, pacemaker and AICD implantations. Provides nursing care as required in diagnostic cardiology and radiology. Complies with all established standards and practices.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
Associate Degree: Nursing
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
3 years in a Cardiac Cath Or Interventional Procedure Lab Preferred.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.
Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.
Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and/or the State of Illinois based on job location assignment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
The ability to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language.
The physical, technical and cognitive ability as well as the manual dexterity, to use patient care equipment.
Demonstrates technical proficiency for all Interventional procedures while functioning in a role as a Cardiac Cath Scrub RN or Hemodynamic Recorder (No fluoroscopy).

Receives and records verbal orders from licensed independent practitioners for orders that are specific to the services provided by their department.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Flexible scheduling of worked hours is required to meet patient/physician demand.
Able to adapt workflow to changes in patient activity, procedure and acuity of patient
Exposure to ionizing radiation; wear a 20lb. lead apron during procedures for extended periods of time.
Standing for extended periods of time may be required
Transportation of patients using either a wheelchair or cart.
Participation in rotational "on call" schedule within a 30-minute response time is required.
Assist in providing 24 hours per day, seven day per week coverage, as required.
