Job Description: ICU RN
Facility location: Glenbrook Hospital- 2100 Pfingsten Rd. Glenview, IL 60026
Internal Pay Scale Range: Starting at $34.75- $50.00. Based on years of experience
Shift/Hours: Night Shift 7pm to 7:30pm
Weekend Requirement: Saturday/Sunday. Every other weekends
Holiday Requirement: 2 major Summer holidays, 2 major Winter holidays
Responsibilities:
- The nurse will care for complex cardiac and vascular patient populations including post open heart surgery, mechanical supportive devices (i.e. ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, left ventricular assist devices, Impella), advanced heart failure, and vascular surgeries requiring critical care management
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
Must Haves:
License: IL RN license
Certification: BLS
Experience: Accepting New Grads w/ Capstone in ICU; if not a new grad recent acute hospital experience is required.
Education: ASN from an accredited college/university
