Hope Hospice is a team of exceptional professionals dedicated to providing compassionate and dignified care focusing on the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of all persons experiencing loss and life-limiting illness. We provide these services in the comfort of their home or residence. Our patients are located mostly in Cook, Lake, Dupage, and Kane county (we do serve DeKalb, Ogle, Winnebago, Boone, and McHenry as well). We are looking for caring professionals that are:
- Flexible
- Respectful (great bedside manner)
- Self-Disciplined
- Friendly
Visiting and On-Call Nurse Duties:
Our agency does use an after hours triage service where all calls are directed to, but if the call is regarding something that cannot wait until the next day or that needs an RN to attend to, the call will be forwarded to the on-call nurse on duty that evening. The on-call hours are from 5:00 pm to 8:30 am. It includes weekdays and weekends, but we alternate who is on-call so no staff member is on-call two days in a row if they do not want to be. If the call warrants an actual visit (an existing patient that must be seen, a new admission, or a death call) , the on-call nurse will make the visit
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed RN
- Must have at least 1-2 years of Hospice experience
- Must have current CPR/BLS certification
- Must have a working cell phone where you will be fully accessible while on-call
- Bilingual is preferred
