As a Registered Nurse (PRN) at Utah Home Health and Hospice, you are responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Your duties include communicating with doctors and other Registered Nurses about patient needs, administering IVs and medications to aid their patients’ health and using medical equipment to monitor patients’ vital signs. You will develop bonds with our clients helping them work through life's biggest transition. Job Description:
- Assess, supervise and direct patient care.
- Observe and record patient behavior.
- Perform patient care as required, including home assessments.
- Collect patient health history.
- Develop plans of treatment.
- Ensure and chart compliance with state regulations.
- Evaluate and treat patients using the most current technology and practices.
- Provide valuable input into the patient's care and treatment.
- Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options.
- Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Utah
- Current Utah driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2-3 years of Hospice Experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality
- Experience with Homecare Homebase or other EMR not required but a HUGE plus.
