NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION: Float Registered Nurse (Non-Union Position)

Daily location as assigned by the Head Nurse dependent on building needs.

WAGES: $41.20 per hour

SCHEDULE: 3.5 hours per day, 180 days per year

QUALIFICATIONS:

· RN licensed by the State of Connecticut, BSN preferred;

· CPR/AED certified;

· One year work experience within last five years, at a minimum.

· Preference given to experience in school nursing, pediatrics or emergency room care.

DUTIES:

· Assist in the daily nursing management of assigned health office.

· Cover assigned school health office in the absence of school nurse.

· Administer prescribed medications.

· Document the nursing process.

· Assist with state mandated screenings.

· Assist with the maintenance of mandated physical exam and immunization documentation.

· Be flexible regarding schedule to provide substitute nursing coverage when needed.
