Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will provide exceptional care to patients in critical and emergency situations. Your expertise and quick thinking will be crucial in assessing patients, administering treatments, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Duties:
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the Emergency Room
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform emergency procedures such as CPR, intubation, and wound care
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide health coaching and support to patients for optimal recovery
Skills:
- Proficiency in tube feeding techniques
- Strong health coaching abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience working with doctors in a collaborative healthcare setting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy protection
- Specialized knowledge in ophthalmology or experience working with children is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high-stress situations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Experience working in nursing homes or occupational health settings is beneficial
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and interpretation of test results
