Registered Nurse, Emergency Room

### Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. As an ER Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing immediate and life-saving care to patients in need. ### Responsibilities:

- Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on the severity of their condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, CPR, and defibrillation
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Ensure proper handling of medical equipment and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

### Requirements:

- Valid RN license in the state of NY
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding system
- Familiarity with family planning services and procedures
- Proficient in medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to phlebotomize patients for laboratory testing
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
- Understanding of ambulatory surgery center protocols and procedures
- Experience with dialysis procedures is a plus
