To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Cerner
- Experience in various healthcare settings, including primary care, ophthalmology, ER, etc.
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Experience in performing procedures such as spinal taps (lumbar punctures)
