Job Title: Registered Nurse, CVOR

Location: Fayetteville, NC

Salary: $80 per hour | $3,200 Weekly

Shift: 5x8s - 40hrs/wk | Days

Required: BLS, NC or Compact License, 2 years OR experience + Cardiovascular experience.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and specialized care to patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the surgical team during cardiovascular surgeries and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical personnel to plan and execute effective surgical interventions for cardiovascular patients.

2. Prepare the operating room by arranging necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.

3. Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, taking note of vital signs, allergies, and medical history.

4. Monitor patients during surgical procedures, continuously assessing vital signs and responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.

5. Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered, and document all patient care activities accurately and promptly.

6. Manage and implement sterile techniques, maintaining a clean and safe environment in the operating room.

7. Collaborate with the surgical team in handling tissue specimens, securing hemostasis, and providing wound care during and after surgery.

8. Assist in the mobilization and recovery of patients post-surgery, ensuring proper post-operative care and effective pain management.

9. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, post-operative care, and necessary lifestyle modifications.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.

2. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.

3. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing.

4. BLS certification.

5. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, as well as surgical procedures and related equipment.

6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations.

7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and the surgical team.

8. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts and occasional weekends.
