Registered Nurse, Clinic

This is a temporary position 4/1/24 - 8/31/24 for the OBGYN Department - previous Women's Health experience Required

The Clinic RN conducts patient triage over the telephone and in-person. Makes appropriate recommendations for care utilizing approved standing orders and protocols. Uses critical thinking for prescription refills, medication titration and home treatment; Works within the RN scope of practice. Assists patients with scheduling acute and/or routine appointments, educates patients regarding abnormal test results and/or medical conditions, and explains medical terms and procedures. Demonstrates independent critical thinking in all departments and/or urgent situations, conscious sedations, assisting with procedures, giving work direction and prioritizing work. All programs and activities are designed to support the short and long term mission, goals and objectives of the Stillwater Medical Group.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
• Associate degree or diploma required
• 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred
• Additional qualifications may be applicable for specialty care
• Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served and ensure safety of patients.
• Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act
• Critical thinking, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Fluent in EMR (EPIC) use
• Understanding of Nursing Practice Act and Scope of Practice for various roles
• Maintain a current Minnesota and Wisconsin Registered Nurse’s licensure.
• Previous experience working in Women's Health required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Previous experience in ambulatory nursing
• Strong preference for previous experience working in OBGYN within an ambulatory setting
