QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job duties and meet the qualifications listed below:
1. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse.
2. Must meet the agency conditions for employment and the requirements for Child Abuse Index and Fingerprinting clearance.
3. 5 Years Experience desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Tuberculin Skin Test placement of adult clients and pediatric clinic children; referrals as needed.
2. Ability to follow San Francisco Department of Public Health protocols for Infectious disease reporting.
3. Childcare health consulting.
4. Must be familiar with exclusion policies, medication administration to childcare clients as needed.
5. Order medical supplies such as vaccines.
6. Competent in administration and teaching clients and staff.
7. Telephone triage with community families.
8. Ordering, reviewing drug U/As, and consulting as needed.
9. Conduct adult health assessments and treatment planning.
10. Conduct pediatric, newborn assessments.
11. Ability to do addiction nursing, impact if substance use on adults, perinatally families.
12. Manage pediatric well child clinic, anthropometric measuring, etc.
13. Competent with basic adult, pediatric, newborn health teaching, and breastfeeding support.
14. Teach health promotion classes.
15. Effectively communicates with management, coworkers, clients, and personnel associated with outside agencies.
16. Ability to work well with multidisciplinary teams.
17. Support public health nursing such as promotion of health, prevention of illness, and maintenance of health newborn-adult relationship.
18. Acknowledges agency safety policies and procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
19. Supports and implements the MSJ-SE mission and the philosophy of the Daughters of Charity.
