Responsibilities:
- Assessment of patient's, families and community health needs
- Active role in interviewing and case finding
- Perform initial interviews, assessment and preparation of patients
- Execute medical regimens as prescribed by the practitioner
- Assist practitioners with patient care, on- and off-site
- Maintain quality nursing care, nursing notes and plans
- Perform necessary nursing procedures, i.e., injections
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Training and supervision of volunteers, paraprofessionals, and the licensed practical nurse
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and protocols
- Be familiar with Clinical policies and programs
- Be familiar with referral procedures and back-up sources
- Be familiar with lab procedures and back-up laboratories
- Coordinate and direct patient flow during clinical sessions
- Coordinate special clinical programs as needed
- Participate and coordinate on- and off-site screening projects
- Assist with the compilation of health statistics
- Act as the patient's advocate and liaison for preservation of patient's rights
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York
- Basic CPR (BCLS) Certification required
- One to two years of experience in professional nursing
- Bilingual in English/Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) required
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $50.00 - 60.00 per hour
