InGenesis is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work with our client in Gouverneur, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for preforming for be working in NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Job Duties

• Provide professional nursing services to incarcerated individual population.

• Nursing interventions and their documentation case finding, health teaching/counseling and provision of supportive and/or restorative care.

• Participate in staff training.

• Prepare clinical and administrative reports.

• Maintain infection control standards and function as a member of a treatment team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have one year of clinical experience.

• Adherence to Security procedures, professional conduct and dress code are required.

• Excellent writing and communication abilities are preferred.

• Should be a self-starter, outgoing and team oriented.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.

• Ability to work effectively and professionally with higher level management staff is essential.

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. is a mandatory component of the assignment.

• Reliability, and time and attendance are critical.
