PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
• To work in a fast-paced and often intense learning environment to provide activities and care to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
- Interact directly with clients through various activities, teaching life-skills and assisting with personal care when needed.
- Meet with clients’ family members.
- Participating in sessions and meetings.
- Helping clients with everyday activities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• HS Diploma
• Must be able to pass a background check, Recipient Rights background check and TB test
• Immediate completion of online training, CPR, and Fingerprinting
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, and standing) for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to sit on the floor for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in various environments as the center and community settings.
• Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance required, and reliable transportation
• Must have access to email and phone contact and reply in a timely manner, no less than 48 hours.
Responsible for the day-to-day execution of a behavioral health plan.
- Engaging with clients, managing behaviors as directed by supervisors and client's behavior plan.
- Interact directly with clients, directing activities and cleanup.
