Seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)for a part-time role focused on contributing to a Weight Loss GLP-1 study. Theposition will be predominantly remote, with 90% of duties performed viaTelehealth, requiring 10-16 hours per week. The ideal candidate will deliverexpert nutritional counseling and foster meaningful changes in health behaviorsamong study participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct an initial in-person visit with eachpatient to establish a tailored and comprehensive nutritional care plan,necessitating that the RDN resides in the local area to ensure accessibilityfor these appointments.
Deliver consistent and high-quality follow-upnutritional counseling and support sessions remotely via Telehealth, ensuringthe effectiveness and accessibility of dietary management.
Employ evidence-based nutritional strategies,adapting plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes in alignment with theGLP-1 study protocols.
Track patient progress diligently, providingdetailed reports to the research team and engaging in collaborative discussionsto enhance the study's nutritional interventions.
Keep abreast of the latest developments innutrition and endocrinology, with an emphasis on GLP-1's role in appetiteregulation and weight management.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patientinformation, documenting all interactions and adjustments throughout thepatient's journey in the study.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition,Dietetics, or related field.
Active RDN certification with state-specificlicensure for the initial in-person visit.
Demonstrated experience in weight management andfamiliarity with GLP-1 related treatments.
Proficiency in Telehealth technologies for thedelivery of remote counseling services.
Excellent communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skillsand a commitment to patient privacy.
Position Details:
Part-time schedule: 10-16 hours per week.
Each patient engagement will commence with anin-person visit, followed by 12 remote counseling sessions via Telehealth.
