Peace of Mind Dental Studio, established in 2020, is a new, family-owned, start-up general dentistry practice in Chandler, AZ with a focus on overall health and wellness. We are looking to hire a Dental Hygienist and welcome experienced hygienists and new graduates to apply. The ideal team member is someone who is enthusiastic, friendly, organized, and motivated to improve patient's oral health and grow our unique practice.
The position is for part-time (3 days per week minimum). There is an opportunity to add an additional working day on Saturdays or every other Saturday, if the candidate is interested. Opportunity for full time as the practice grows.
Candidate will be asked to work until 7pm on Tuesdays and 8pm Wednesdays, however, there can be some flexibility with the schedule if needed.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck exam, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse
- Taking and mounting digital dental radiographs (x-rays); taking intraoral photos, intraoral 3D scans, and performing caries risk assessment with Diagnodent laser.
- Educating patients regarding likely or previously diagnosed treatment recommendation prior to the doctor exam
- Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth
- Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides/SDF)
- Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
- Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health
- Performing proper sterilization of instruments
- Documentation and office management activities
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Dental Hygiene Program
- License to practice hygiene and deliver local anesthetic in Arizona
- CPR certification
- Minimum of one year work experience in dental healthcare preferred
- Ability to independently assess the nature and extent of dental periodontal and associate conditions and pathology in dental patients
- Knowledge of patient screening, charting, and medical history procedures and documentation
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing as well as technical information to patients and non-technical staff
- Ability to perform a full range of established Dental Hygienist protocol and procedures
- Laser certification is advantageous (office will provide the CE if not certified)
- Open Dental experience is advantageous
- Diagnodent experience is advantageous
- Bilingual is advantageous
