Under the direction of the school Special Education Coordinator, this position provides instructional, behavioral and other support to students with disabilities both in and out of the classroom. The delivery of these services can occur working one on one with students, in small groups or in the classroom.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Understand and is able to apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work with users of different skill levels
- Proactive problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- Demonstrated ability to master new software applications, hardware, and technologies
- An understanding of key learning theories and methods of instruction, and their relationship to technology integration.
- Ability to provide effective and thoughtful support to all levels of the school
- Strong documentation and/or technical writing skills
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification required
DURATION: 10 Months
