Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (Amft)

We are seeking an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our team!

The Center for Restored & Connected Families, is a nonprofit organization that fosters the development of emerging Marriage & Family Therapists and offers community-based, affordable psychotherapy through sliding scale and managed care. We are looking for licensed and pre-licensed therapists who are passionate about facilitating the development of relationship between kids and their parents, working with families that have experienced trauma, and couples desiring deeper and more meaningful connections. Group practice is contacted with Aetna and Cigna and is a Practicum site for Hope International University. As a Christian organization, we are looking for therapists who are comfortable integrating mainstream Judeo-Christian theology into treatment when clinically appropriate. We offer in person and telehealth (SimplePractice) services and are located in Orange near Angel Stadium and Honda Center.

The California Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT) role is a paid position with supervision that complies with California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements. This position has a flexible schedule, is part-time with potential for growth. Child development background strongly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
• Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
• Provide prevention-oriented therapy
• Implement and review treatment plans
• Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
• Work with insurance and private pay clients
• Pursue career growth and full-licensure

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• Familiarity with community mental health resources
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong leadership qualities

This is a W-2 position that is paid with an hourly base plus commission. We will withhold taxes, provide worker's compensation coverage, provide access to SimplePractice, and cover general and professional liability insurance.
