REGIONAL TRAINING, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
Location: Cupertino, CA
Pay Rate: $90-95k

Job Summary:
The Regional Training, Safety & Compliance Specialist will assist in the assessment, tracking, reporting, oversight, and maintenance of assigned regional sites onboarding training, safety programs and protocols, and compliance with employee licensure & certifications. Regional Training, Safety & Compliance Specialist should understand the business operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results through cross-functional team support and developing an effective and efficient workforce.
Essential Duties/Tasks:
  • Assist in the regional coordination, delivery, implementation, tracking, and reporting of assigned regional sites new hire onboarding, training, and safety.
  • Perform regional administrative functions of the training, Safety & Compliance departments.
  • Through oversight, inspect as required to verify and maintain regional employee compliance with required licensure & certifications (i.e. BSIS Guard Card, Driver's License, etc.).
  • Through oversight, inspect as required to ensure compliance with OSHA, State & Federal regulations of assigned regional sites in conjunction with the Corporate Security Training Program Manager, Corporate Operations Manager, and/or Human Resources Manager as required.
  • Support regional oversight of various Company, customer, City, State and Federal compliance requirements.
  • Promote safety awareness among employees by demonstrating behavioral observation skills. Conduct regular surveys to assess the level of safety awareness.
  • Educate employees on safety standards and expectations.
  • Support and/or as required, investigate accidents (employee & property) that occur on assigned site and assist with injury & property reporting, follow up, root cause/corrective/preventative actions. Coordinate with on-site leaders and Corporate Security Training Program Manager, Corporate Operations Manager, and/or Human Resources Manager as required to ensure preventative/corrective actions are completed timely.
  • Inspect and oversee record keeping & tracking of training, safety, licensure and certifications for regionally assigned site employees or departments. Provide reports, as needed.
  • Drive brand values and philosophy through all training, safety and compliance activities.
  • Build relationships and network with potential presenters.
  • Assist the Corporate Security Training Program Manager as required to support Mobile Training Team events and requirements.
  • Keep abreast of training, Safety & Compliance trends, developments and best practices.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in training, safety and compliance is required.
  • Prior security training background is helpful, but not required.

Required License/Certifications:
  • Must possess a valid/current California Driver's License.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in Apple (IOS, Numbers, Pages, Keynote), MS Office and related business/communication tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain positive relationships with other employees and customers

Working Environments/Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk or working on a computer.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle between sites or to run errands.

Reporting Structure & Classification:
  • The Regional Training, Safety & Compliance Specialist is a full-time exempt role that reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations. This position reports indirectly to and works closely with Operations Managers, the Corporate Security Training Program Manager, the Corporate Operations Manager, and the Human Resources Manager as required and has oversight and support responsibilities for site-assigned Training, Safety, and Compliance Specialists.
