Job Information
The Regional Support Manager will be responsible for the supervision and management of an assigned group of District Parts & Service Managers (DPSMs) including performance evaluations, salary reviews, interviewing and hiring, and the training and development of DPSMs. This role will provide front line support by mentoring and directing DPSMs through critical dealer and/or end-user negotiations and formal dealer evaluations using Dealer Scorecard and other evaluation tools and manage department expenses to remain within budgetary guidelines.  This role will also be responsible for profitable revenue growth of the Bobcat Parts business in North America.  The incumbent will drive dealer parts ordering activities through opportunity identification and capture, strategic sales program planning and execution, rigorous account management, and tight coordinator/implementation with Bobcat field staff.
Role & Responsibility
Management of Territory Support Managers
  • Provide guidance for continued development and improvement of each assigned DPSM.
  • Maintain MBO (Management By Objective) criteria for each direct report. 
  • Create and manage parts forecast and sales budgets tied to team targets.
  • Develop and execute staff training programs.  Identify high potential DPSMs and design development plans specifics for their next career level or position.

Fiscal Responsibility
  • Develop and execute region strategies to drive incremental parts growth to ensure business targets are met.
  • Monitor dealer channel for new business development ideas and work with our dealers to displace will fitters and maximize capture.
  • Minimize risks associated with customer or dealer issues.
  • Manage goodwill spend by means of the level of authority process.
  • Assist DPSM’s with the management of dealer parts exceptions related to surplus parts returns, credits, and policy adjustments.

Strategic Account Management
  • Cultivate relationships with key larger accounts to drive dealership parts and service performance improvements. 
  • Identify regional / national / government account opportunities and create support processes.

Channel Development
  • Support new dealer set-up and dealer termination processes.
  • Develop, execute, and evolve dealer support performance through the Dealer Parts and Service Score Cards.
  • Equitable resolution of customer complaints which insures retention and growth of our customer base through increased customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Dealer action plans for both parts and service improvement plans through the DPSMs.
  • Create and sustain programs that enhance dealer parts stock order planning and retail sales execution within their local markets.
  • Assist with warranty policy development and adherence.
  • Work with Regional Director on district and dealer assignment changes to facilitate DPSM and District Sales Manager alignment.
  • Assist with dealer conflict resolution to ensure a strong working relationship between OEM and Dealer Network.

Information and Technology Transfer
  • Support emerging technology globally as required through participation in New Product Development team activities to ensure flawless launch to dealer channel. This includes participation through gate progression and after launch support.
  • Provide timely technology awareness training to internal stakeholders to strengthen knowledge base for non-New Product Development involved staff.
  • Management of DPSM onboarding documentation to ensure complete, effective, and efficient onboarding of new DPSMs.
  • Escalation of machine and quality issues to help ensure swift resolution.

Job Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of compact or heavy equipment industry experience.
  • Experience working with Bobcat Company’s dealer channel. 
  • Technical/mechanical background.
  • Supervisory experience. 
  • Assertive negotiation skills with a demonstrated capability to persuade.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills and priority focus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and presentation skills. 
  • Travel required 60 - 75%.  
  • Valid driver’s license with clean Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
