Job description

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Regional Senior Business Program Manager, Datacenter Operational Efficiencies you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.  As a group, CO+I is focused on the personal and professional development of all employees and offers training and growth opportunities including Career Rotation Programs, Diversity & Inclusion training and events, and professional certifications.

This is a remote role. Candidates can sit anywhere in the United States.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years project/program managment experience in large-scale mission critical environments (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure)

    • OR 3+ years' project/program managment experience in large-scale mission critical environments (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure)

  • 2+ years experience in the development of tools and apps utilizing one or more of the following: Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Azure DevOps, Sharepoint, Dynamics.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant finance, planning or analysis work experiences with an analytical foundation
  • Thorough and detail oriented, with the ability to summarize results to drive broader business context and insight.
  • Able to manage multiple work streams and prioritize as needed
  • Ability to partner and influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required.
  • Prior experience in driver-based cost analysis.
  • Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed analysis and transactions.

Data Center Operations Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,800 - $195,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $135,200 - $222,000 per year.
