JOB SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position is responsible for effectively executing the company's sales strategy and programs and is responsible for generating sales growth and achieving the annual sales budget. This position is directly responsible for the management, leadership and development of all Sales Representatives in the assigned sales region. The RSM will own all sales process activities including sales KPIs, sales pipeline, CRM usage and sales/product application training.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Exceed region revenue, growth, contribution margin and product line sales objectives.
- Champion, own and execute sales strategies and initiatives aligned with company direction.
- Identify and execute 5X sales pipeline of targeted national, OEM and regional account opportunities for all assigned Sales Representatives.
- Ensure all Key Performance Indicator objectives are achieved.
- Proactively support the National Account sales process and drive incremental sales in target National Accounts.
- Travel with each assigned Sales Representative at a minimum of once per quarter to coach, mentor and assess Level 5 Selling competency. Develop and implement selling skills improvements.
- Ensure product training, pipeline sales training and CRM training of all assigned personnel.
- Collaborate with all functional areas and consistently demonstrate our Company Values in all interactions with internal and external customers.
- Be the Voice of the Customer and consistently communicate areas where Sparks can improve to exceed our customers' expectations.
- Lead cross-functional projects as needed or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:10+ years of sales management experience in industrial B2B market.
Conveyor belting and motorized pulley sales experience preferred.
Travel within region as required 50-60% of the time.
