About the job
Within our Food Water Division (Hygenic Fluid Handling), you will grow profitable sales in an assigned region through direct customer sales activities at either greenfield or brownfield sites
- This is a remote position. Prefer candidate to currently live in the Southwest.
- Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval products.
- Create a sales plan according to the business division strategy, by working closely with the Sales Manager.
- Said plan is to be built around actions that lead to closed project sales, or sales wins at manufacturing plant expansions.
- Product specification or product acceptance is critical in order to attain these wins and will be a main focus of daily activity.
- Uncover and manage leads in assigned region and convert to viable sales orders using our CRM platform for optimized follow through.
- Investigate and act on industry trends, market developments including new protein exploration, and competitor activities to make strategic business decisions when closing sales.
- 75% travel with 50% overnight travel.

What you know:
Bachelor's Degree - preferred in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or related business experience.
- Ideally the candidate will have experience in the sale and marketing of products via distribution channels.
- Experienced with working in a matrix organization balancing direct sales, national accounts, distributors, and direct marketing.
- Experience must reflect a keen sense of urgency to making things happen through effective planning; and the commitment to monitor, control, follow-up and take corrective actions.
- Knowledge of Food Processing, Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Beverage, Dairy and Cheese industry markets, companies, trends and applications
- 3-7 years of experience preferred.

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $90,000 - $110,000 base + bonus.
