Pay Range: $80-$120K annual + commission

Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older, pass a background check. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English at the level of a business professional. Be able to legally work in the United States. Must live in Northern California.

Summary

This position manages our Northern California region and will establish sales targets to meet the company’s objectives by ensuring adherence to strategic sales plans based on company goals and promoting sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing the efficiency and productivity of the Northern California Sales Team on all assigned duties.

A diverse skill set and an expertise in both sales and marketing is required to succeed in this position. This role also requires strong leadership and management skills as well as continuous professional development and training. The Regional Sales Manager will work on projects that range from high level sales strategies, to refining sales operations for efficiency, and developing growth in line with company revenue goals for Northern California.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following:

● Provide leadership and management to the Regional Sales team.

● Deliver Competitive Analysis, to include: research & reports detailing competitors’ products, services, pricing, strengths, weaknesses, and granular win/loss results.

● Oversee and implement a strategic sales plan to expand the company's customer base.

● Achieve revenue growth goals and sales targets through sales team management.

● Track and analyze Regional Sales and territory opportunities to assist upper management in making future territory decisions.

● Assist the State Director in managing pricing for the sales team. This includes gathering market data to support pricing decisions on products & services in your territory as well as collaborating with the sales management team to determine the pricing for products as necessary.

● Travel and meet face-to-face with clients and prospects; create long term relationships to achieve mutually beneficial success through a sustained partnership by gaining access to C-level executives; connecting with them and demonstrating how the Company’s services can fulfill their portfolio needs.

● Facilitate the onboarding training plan for sales representatives; act as Training Manager for sales employees.

● Manage multiple channel selling strategies.

● Collaborate with the sales management team to create an agenda for weekly CA sales team meetings.

● Train departments on new and future sales initiatives.

● Train and teach staff to use the CRM and company software platform as well as oversee and ensure engagement.

● Lead, manage, and develop a high performing team via recruitment, training, coaching, and motivating.

● Contribute to the development of SOPs for the Sales Department; have a comprehensive understanding of and disseminate and guide the Sales team in following SOPs.

● Set and exceed rigorous KPIs to support rapid revenue and profit growth and efficiencies.

● Provide monthly sales goals for reps.

● Assist in enhancing and overseeing systems and processes for sales cycle funnel: leads, prospects, pipeline, forecasting and delivery.

● Develop add-on/upsell opportunities to drive higher order values and margins.

● Maintain effective and harmonious cross functional relationships with sales management, field sales, marketing, logistics, and finance associates whose support is essential for success.

● Minimize controllable costs, such as supplies, shipping, fuel, etc.

● Prevent and resolve customer service issues/complaints with specific focus on retention.

● Acquire ongoing marketplace intelligence by researching trends and best practices, reading business publications, researching competitors, seeking out learning and development opportunities, and utilizing internal resources.

Supervisor Responsibilities

Manages the Northern California Sales team and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of those individuals. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

● 7+ years experience in a sales-related role with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding goals

● 5+ Years experience in a Cannabis Business to Business sales related role with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding goals.

● Strong demonstrable leadership abilities; leading by example with the ability to motivate and retain capable sales employees.

● Organization and planning: ability to understand and determine priorities, effectively manage time and develop work plans in order to accomplish tasks and/or projects.

● Communication: exceptional ability to organize and convey information through verbal and written form clearly and persuasively.

● Judgment and decision-making: implement strategies that are in alignment with the best interest of the company.

● Exceptional Training Management skills: ability to direct people and control resources to achieve goals.

● Ability to work remotely with some travel required.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, as well as CRM experience required (SalesForce preferred).

Preferred

● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing communications, or a related field.

● At least 5+ years of experience in a sales-related leadership role, managing a team of direct reports, with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding goals.

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based (home or company office), with occasional requirements to visit other locations. The Regional Sales Manager reports to the Sales Director and works closely with the Northern California Sales Representatives, Operations Department, Vendor Operations Manager, Inventory and Sales Support, Finance Department, other positions as necessary and customers.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary position. To perform the required tasks of this position, a Regional Sales Manager needs to have and/or be able to:

● Remain in a stationary position up to approximately 75% of the time.

● Constantly operate a computer, phone and other office equipment and tools.

● Effectively and correctly communicate via speech and writing.

● Occasionally navigate uneven terrain, such as sidewalks, parking lots and city curbs when out of the office.
