Regional Planner/Logistics Specialist

Wanship Transportation is seeking a high-achieving Regional Planner/ Logistics Specialist who loves the transportation industry. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with existing customers, new customers, freight brokers, internal staff, other transportation and distribution companies, drivers, to successfully execute the freight planning puzzle.
• Book loads, coordinate and schedule appointments, track orders and communicate with customers, drivers and internal departments.
• Follow orders from inception through billing, including order entry, scheduling and providing proof of delivery to the customers.
• Problem solve as challenges are presented and provide updates to the customer, drivers and internal departments.
• Identify additional freight opportunities with existing and new customers.
• Work to build and maintain long-lasting relationships.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday – Day shift

Qualifications

• 5 years of strong transportation experience, in load planning, planning refrigerated LTL freight, or dispatching in a trucking environment.
• Ability to offer and receive candid feedback, always with positive intent.
• A great work history.
• Creative, strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle conflict.
• The ability to work with the latest technologies.
• Microsoft 365 experience with a working knowledge of Outlook and Teams
• Excellent communication skills.
