Regional Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Regional Manager, Operations works in collaboration with STAT Courier corporate operations and support departments to ensure thorough oversight and compliance of all assigned area contracts. The Regional Manager, Operations also acts as the liaison between STAT Courier, Clients, and stakeholders to ensure STAT Courier is fully compliant with contract requirements.

Essential Functions

• Provide daily guidance and oversight for direct and indirect reports
• Work directly with independent contracted drivers in assigned Region, ,this includes but is not limited to pay, routing, hiring and replacing contracted drivers
• Capable of writing work instructions and/or Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide ongoing, day-to-day service support to Client personnel
• Implement new business operations • Oversee the operations for assigned STAT Courier Warehouses
• Draft, prepare and maintain assigned RFP’s; manage assigned awarded contracts
• Define, implement and maintain contract goals and business outcomes, ensuring compliance and attainment
• Manage and maintain fleet levels including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, training, compliance, coverage, and documentation
• Act as a main point of contact for Clients, when issues related to their program arise
• Positively represent Stat Courier at in-services events and trade shows, acting as subject matter expert
• Educate Clients on STAT Courier procedures and services
• Act as a liaison between STAT Courier and external stakeholders to educate on STAT Courier services and ensure customer satisfaction Address and resolve all inquiries, including escalated emergent requests, in a timely and professional manner to the satisfaction of all stakeholders
• Present annual plan reviews and work in a consultative manner with key Clients
• Provide requested data/information to internal stakeholders who are assisting in the continuous monitoring and coordination of quality management activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

• Thorough knowledge of the courier industry and ability to use proper terminology
• Knowledge of cost analysis and budgets
• Experience in developing, promoting and building key relationships with all key stakeholders
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Detail oriented and ethical • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
• Moderate to advanced computer skills
• Strong organization skills and ability to identify, prioritize and respond to multiple deadlines
• Works independently and demonstrates effective problem solving skills
• Demonstrate leadership skills, including but not limited to delegating, planning and coaching
• Ability to handle questions and resolve issues in a constructive manner
• Adaptability to learn new systems

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of previous financial management experience or equivalent related experience
• 5+ years of previous leadership or supervisory experience or related experience
• Prior project or contract management experience preferred

Working Conditions

• This position is able to be performed remotely
• May be subject to adverse weather conditions during times of travel

Physical Requirements

• Will require operating a computer for extended periods
• Requires close visual acuity when operating a computer
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle
• Must be able to communicate with others and comprehend instructions •
• May require light lifting and carrying 
• Routinely uses standard office equipment
• Must be able to move around an office environment

Travel

• May require local and overnight travel
• May be required to drive a company or rental vehicle (failure to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background screen may result in termination of employment).

Supervision

• This position may involve supervision of direct reports
