The Opportunity:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the credit union in achieving its service mission of building trusted relationships by providing our members with superior financial solutions and outstanding service.
The Regional Manager directs the operations of assigned branches, Contact Center, Retail Fulfillment and MX Admin in accordance with established policies and procedures, supports the business development efforts of the credit union, supports ESP Development of team members, and holds the team accountable for doing the same with their respected team members. The Regional Manager enforces personnel policies, supports, and coaches to the Credit Union's Relationship Building - Keys to Success culture and career.
Essential Functions:
- Works with the Vice President of Member Experience to establish assigned branch short and long-term goals.
- Prepares budget requests of assigned branches.
- Provides support, guidance, and assistance to assigned branch management staff and holds team accountable through ESP goals.
- Through monthly ESP/one on one meetings, identifies strengths and weaknesses of assigned management staff and coaches accordingly.
- Ensures monthly ESP meetings are held between management and staff and proper goals with accountability are established.
- Ensures that the sales goals of the assigned branches and/or assigned staff are met and set up action plans when necessary.
- Works with management staff to assigned branches to resolve complex member and employee issues.
- Conducts a monthly onsite visit to each assigned branch to conduct individual branch management meetings and staff visits.
- Ensures mandated branch auditing and security protocols are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with credit union requirements.
- Completes random surprise branch audits at each branch location annually.
- Regular onsite attendance at headquarters and branch locations.
- Underwrites consumer and business loans up to the amount assigned per credit union policy; reviews and approves underwriting decisions of staff.
- Acts as branch manager at assigned location. Performs all essential branch management duties when acting in this capacity. Assists members directly with their financial needs and offers members only products and services that will improve the member's financial lives.
- Works with partners/vendors to review and maintain contracts and contract renewals.
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
- 3+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years management experience
- Builds relationships within organization and outside of the organization with like credit union professionals
- Proficient at Coaching and Development
- Positive Influencer/Culture Champion
- Builds strong relationships within the community by attending community events during and after hours to increase visibility in the community.
- Extensive knowledge of banking products, services, procedures, and policies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage team members and projects
- Works independently to improve credit union processes
- Deep understanding of emotional intelligence
