Regional Inside UsedEquipment Sales & Marketing Representative
Position Summary
The Regional Inside UsedEquipment Sales & Marketing Representative is responsible for supporting the management of Skyjack, Inc.'s inventory portfolio of Used Equipment within a team environment that manages the sale of all Skyjack assets through acquisition, trade-in, repossession, lease/rental returns as well as the sales of other customer equipment.
Performance Expectaions
Work closely with the New Equipment Sales and Accounting teams.
Assist in the sale of all Used Skyjack equipment and the performance of regional market research and analysis.
Maximize the resale value at a targeted % (or greater) of OLV (the purchase price).
Process Used Equipment inventory within a targeted timeframe from receiving each asset.
Effective communication and management of relationships with 3rd party providers of Inspection and storage facilities.
Recommending and providing used Equipment sales training assessment needs for Skyjack Sales team members.
Develop additional outlet and channels to promote and sell assets.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Effective communication with dealer organization, internal and external customers, and department co-workers
Analyzing and assisting with determining and evaluating equipment values to gain the best value for the asset.
Perform market surveys and research to determine trends in demand for Used Equipment products.
Identify/qualify potential new customers within the regions via industry publications, online research, and direct marketing.
Research local Used Equipment industry associations, media and data sources for indicators and economic data to identify opportunities or trends.
Develop and maintain a customer database consisting of current, lost and target (potential) customers.
Consult with Skyjack Product Marketing department to exchange market and product data and research including assisting with the collection of data from the field for customer surveys and various reports as needed.
Responsible for managing and verifying physical inventory counts of Used Equipment.
Assist with dedicated events.
o Coordinate Used Equipment sales and training meetings as needed including making travel reservations and all necessary arrangements for the meeting.
o Assist with coordination of dedicated events within the regions as necessary such as customer events or local trade shows.
Minimum Requirements
A bachelor's degree is preferred, however, strong relevant experience would be considered.
Background in the equipment industry with specific experience in asset/equipment remarketing sales experience.
Firsthand experience in Equipment Sales
Proven negotiation skills
Strong Analytical, organizational and time management skills
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Interface or direct experience with equipment dealerships and end use customers and understanding of operations and activities preferred.
Highly proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a demanding environment.
Modest overnight travel required.
