SalaryFounded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an available opportunity for a Regional Director for our Beckley, WV office. This position oversees and directs all aspects of plant operations which includes personnel, production, safety, sales support, profitability and cost.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and implement the operational strategic plans policies and practices to meet quality, capacity, plant growth, service and financial/cost/budget expectations
- Promote, maintain and lead a safety culture focused on zero workplace injuries throughout the facility.
- Develop a high-performance team by engaging, coaching, and developing team members
- Partner with the Director, Outside Sales on creating and implementing the sales strategy for the region
- Enforce company policies and drive accountability at all levels
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on time completion and delivery of customer orders
- Utilize operational metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and achieve production goals
- Oversee operational cost and budgeting as well as capital budgeting and planning
- Ensure equipment is properly operated and maintained according to manufacturer’s recommendations
- Partner with outside sales to achieve sales profits and to respond to customers questions and concerns
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 5 + years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Proven leader with ability to motivate and build a team that functions well together
- Track record and demonstrated ability to think strategically then translate strategic vision into tactical actionable plans that result in delivered business results
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial discipline, business acumen and organizational abilities
- Up to 20% travel
