JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the BSWH System Director, Revenue Cycle Clinic Optimization, the Regional DirectorRevenue Cycle Clinic Optimization will serve as the Revenue Cycle liaison for clinic leadership in their assigned region. The Regional DirectorRevenue Cycle Clinic Optimization will lead a team that will provide clinic-specific reporting on financial performance and partner with regional clinic leadership to create and implement action plans to drive improvement of Revenue Cycle metrics to enhance financial performance. In addition, they will facilitate communication to drive consistent patient experiences and performance across clinics in their assigned region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
1. Serve as the internal Revenue Cycle liaison for clinic leadership for assigned region, responding to stakeholder needs and supporting Revenue Cycle related initiatives.
2. Works with regional clinic leadership to ensure understanding of Revenue Cycle processes and metrics.
3. Assesses how practices across assigned region are performing financially, including denials trending and analysis.
4. Provides direction and development support to ensure clinic’s strategic objectives are met, including development of actions plans for metrics not meeting established goals.
5. Facilitates regularly scheduling meetings onsite with regional leaders to report financial performance, opportunities, training and improvement plans with key stakeholders.
6. Develops and facilitates denial prevention efforts through partnership with clinic staff and leaders.
7. Works collaboratively with the Revenue Cycle teams to implement best practices for Epic. Provide oversight of billing, claims, and follow-up items related to the operations of the practices. Analyze regional practice efficiencies and provide feedback for improvements in operations.
8. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Revenue Cycle leaders and fosters a strong working relationship with Info supporting organizations (coding, IS, managed care).
9. Challenges best practices and seeks opportunities to drive process improvements, ensuring standardization across the region.
10. Identifies training needs to enhance performance and coordinates deployment with training team.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
1. 2+ years Epic experience
2. Ability to build strong interpersonal skills with all levels of employees – including executives and front-line staff
3. Strong attention to detail and high sense of urgency to identify opportunities and bring them to resolution
4. Excellent presentation skills and ability to create executive-level presentations and deliverables.
5. Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle metrics, processes, and technology. Keen awareness to interdependencies between operational departments (Access Services, HIM, Revenue Integrity, CBO)
6. Previous management experience
7. Master’s Degree preferred
8. 2+ years medical billing experience preferred
