Position Summary:
The Regional Sales Account Manager works to cultivate, manage, and develop sales with regional optical labs, regional industrial safety distributors and resellers, and industrial safety end users in a senior position. Contacts regional medium-sized businesses including optical laboratories and distributors/resellers to place products into retail locations, and catalogs. websites and safety eyewear programs. Manages the strategic relationships, forecasting, budget, and annual sales results of existing and new customers by providing training, creating presentations, partnering during strategic sales visits, attending customer-facing meetings, and managing regional trade shows.
Performs duties where sound judgment and strong communication skills in writing, in person, and via phone are required when interacting with customers.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Works directly with safety distributors and resellers to incorporate Wiley X into their safety assortments.
- Coordinates with regional optical labs and distributors to offer product and program solutions to Wiley X end users.
- Identifies needs and requirements of key corporate prospects and accounts.
- Creates proposals and negotiates to attract and close key accounts.
- Analyzes and manages activity and key performance indicators of key accounts.
- Delivers meaningful feedback to the Sr. Sales Director to direct product, design, marketing, creative, advertising, accounting, and logistics to ensure the highest quality of services and collateral are produced and all client needs are met and exceeded.
- Builds and maintains steadfast relationships with strategic customers.
- Meets or exceeds quarterly sales/new business quota as determined by the Sr. Director.
- Meets or exceeds performance sales goals and evaluations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Comfortable and confident in presentations with large customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Resourcefulness and superior time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong prescription lens and eyewear knowledge
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of sales or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience attracting, closing, and managing large, complex customers.
- Experience in developing business.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Travels to regional customer locations, trade shows, corporate headquarters, and various sales and relationship-building events (50% +)
