Key Role:
Leverage expertise and instruction to training audiences on the Indo-Pacific operational environment to inform plans, exercises, operations, and engagements. Share understanding of the East Asia region countries’ strategies, capabilities, and actions. Advise team and clients on cultural and language considerations and approaches to working with the host nation military, government officials, and non-governmental entities to achieve mutual goals. Contribute to distance learning modules and in-person training content. Develop and maintain course content and practical exercises based on current threat environments, military domains, and joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational (JIIM) capabilities. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of course instruction.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with East Asia defense policy analysis
5+ years of experience in working with DoD security cooperation or DoD security assistance communities
5+ years of experience in leading DoD planning or supporting operations, strategy, and policy with Service, Joint, non-DoD organizations, or foreign nations
Ability to communicate with General Officers, Flag Officers, or Senior Executives through formal presentations and impromptu office calls
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, work independently and as part of a team, analyze complex data, and prioritize tasks to track progress and outcomes through a performance monitoring plan
Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of time

Additional Qualifications:
Experience as a Foreign Area Officer (FAO) or Security Cooperation Officer (SCO)
Experience in developing capacity building programs and working with JIIM partners
Experience at a Geographic Combatant Command or service component command headquarters
Experience with developing written publications
Experience with Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and scenario development
Knowledge of federal regulations related to security cooperation
Ability to speak, read, and write in one or more East Asia region languages
Master’s degree in International Relations or Foreign Policy
Defense Institute for Security Cooperation Studies (DISCS) Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
