We currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity for Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can work with minimal supervision and has a working knowledge and advanced understanding of heavy commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities:
- Processing and completing work orders in a timely manner.
- Document and report on site activities in a timely and concise manner.
- Proactively identify weak or failing components and make repair recommendations.
- Maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems.
- Maintain refrigeration equipment and systems per customer specifications and guidelines.
- Replace faulty system components as needed.
- Support commissioning and startup of new refrigeration equipment and system installations.
- Troubleshoot refrigeration equipment failures.
- As required, order equipment, supplies, and sundries to meet customer needs.
- As needed, interface with the RC&E engineering department and management for troubleshooting and equipment selection support.
- Interface with RC&E customers in a clear and professional manner.
- Work with customers and RC&E management to identify specific customer needs and formulate solutions as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years working with industrial refrigeration systems.
- Ability to read and interpret industrial refrigeration drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with refrigeration control systems preferred.
- Understanding of industrial ammonia, CO2, and freon refrigeration systems.
- Braising, soldering, and welding skills are a plus.
- IIAR, RETA, and/or Ammonia Operator training and certification is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills
