Job Overview- Do you have a passion for hands-on work and problem-solving? Then the role of a Refrigeration Mechanic might be perfect for you! As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you'll be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing refrigeration systems and equipment. You'll get to work with a variety of equipment, including condensing units, compressors, and evaporators. You'll also be responsible for checking systems and equipment for leaks and making welds on equipment, making every day on the job different and exciting. JobResponsibilities-
- Investigates and corrects machine malfunctions using hand and power tools.
- Replaces and repairs defective machine parts.
- Performs preventative maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, glycol systems, and compressors.
- Assembles and fabricates parts from blueprints or verbal instruction.
- Performs proper lock-out/tag-out procedures and looks up parts inventory using SAP/ARIBA.
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
- Required to be 18 years of age or older.
- Required to work any shift.
- Required to comply with company GMP policies.
- Required to work overtime if necessary.
- Required to lift and move up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Performs assigned jobs with minimum direction and supervision.
- 2 years of maintenance experience and skilled in repair and troubleshooting mechanical systems or ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Communicates ideas clearly and articulately.
- Required to successfully complete assessment.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
Compensation:
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $38.18 / hourly
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
